In 2018, the Colorado Office of Film and Television and the RiNO Arts District created a joint venture to highlight the arts in Denver’s RiNO neighborhood and to showcase Denver Filmmakers. They named the exhibition Side Stories and they selected Postmodern Company as one of the 8 companies/artists to create an original piece of public video art for the 3-week long exhibit. Postmodern Company developed a storyline that leaned on the unique character of the neighborhood and the divisiveness that was extremely relevant following the 2016 presidential elections. “Fill the Space Between Us” was the name of the piece and the dancers, actors, motion graphics and cinematography produced by Postmodern all played in chorus to drive this overall message home; embracing differences and filling the voids between us with that which we have in common.
